A customer originally called in to install a flu cap at the top of their chimney. After inspecting said chimney, we noticed a mass amount of debris stuck at the end of the flu pipe, and the exhaust gas that was let out from the space and water heater that traveled through the flu pipe mixed with the debris. The chimney never had a flu cap installed, and over years had become run down, letting chemicals form from stuck debris and the exhaust gasses. After inspecting, we thoroughly cleaned the debris and chemicals out of the flu pipe and  installed a new base of the flu pipe so that both heaters could exhaust gas without a threat to safety.
